About The Orpington Band

The Orpington Band was founded in 1925 and provides a unique combination of nurturing beginners and providing a platform for more experienced players to perform together.  Originally established as the Orpington Silver Band playing marching and other brass band repertoires, it now plays a wide selection of music from old classics to modern pop and film music.  

The Beginners band is for all ages and musical abilities and includes group lessons and playing easy to learn tunes (see details on Beginners Page).

The Main band plays a wide variety of music and performs at local events such as fetes, Charity events and special quiz nights (see Events Page for details).

Where We Meet

The band rehearses in the Scout Hall in Goddington Lane in Orpington on Monday evenings:   

Beginners: 18:30 - 20:00

Main Band: 20:00 - 22:00
